inb4epochserverowners:

welcome to the game and the forums mate. i don't get to play often at all anymore so i can't really offer that service, but let me be the first to advise that you learn DayZ on actual DayZ, not some bastardised version such as Epoch or Wasteland or any other irrelevant take on DayZ - if you want the real experience and any clue what you're doing when you start standalone when it comes out anyway.

enjoy your time as a noob, they're the best time you'll have :)

Hi mate, you're welcome to check out us at the BSB Network.

We're primarily an open community for that has some cracking Day Z support. We host our own Day Z Epoch server that is very "newbie" friendly, with various different groups on (most of them friendly!) and we also run our own TS3 server. We also play on the Musty Gaming public servers for some PvP action, where our members team up against other clans and groups!

There's a few guys/groups within our community who would happily take you under their wing and show you the ropes of the game. We also offer an internal clan that's by invitation only for players who are looking for a bit more of dedicated &  long term support. We are UK based with many EU members and we're officially ranked as Enjin's number 1 EU Clan site. We have no silly rules or requirements, the rules we do have are based around common sense and fair play, so they arent really hard to follow!

More details about us and how to get involved ; http://www.bsbnetwork.com

The vanilla versionof the mod is a great place to start and you should always play it first to get to grips with the game but Epoch is a fantastic "flavour" and is popular for a reason ;)

He was asking specifically for other players.

Indeed, now some rules to live by: Do not get attached to your gear, you will die, this will happen a lot. PVP happens in the game, people do it for what ever reason and most the time will talk sh*t about it, don't let this get you trigger happy and/or paranoid of other players, you will meet friendlies out there, all though it be a bit rare. Learn your loot spots, what spawns where. Zombies can't see for crap at night, for the most part, neither can you. Guns are loud, players and zombies alike flock to them. DO NOT drive an ATV across a bridge. Take your time, learning is a slow and often painful process, you will get better at the game. No matter what a striper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room.
