Would this work to install DayZ

I have been wanting to install Dayz for a long time and a few days ago I bought Arma 2 operation Arrowhead disc version, I realise that I would need both Arma 2 and Operation arrowhead to run DayZ...

 

My question is if I bought the steam downloadable version of Arma 2 would I be able to run DayZ  using my downloadable Arma 2 and my Disc copy of Operation Arrowhead. thanks to whoever replies

Yes you can mix and match them :)

If you use Dayz commander just manually set the paths.

 

ArmA 2 would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\ArmA 2

Operation Arrowhead would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead

As far as I know you can use ARMA 2: Free along with Operation Arrowhead to be able to play DayZ.

 

There should be a couple of guides out there on how to do it, just search for them.

 

That way you wouldn't have to buy anything.

You should be able to, all the computer needs to know is that ArmA 2 is on your computer.

Free version has shitier graphics but you get a chance to play it.
