Tmerc44 17 Posted November 29, 2013 Okay i downloaded all the ArmaII addons (British army,arrowhead, [private military company, and finally DayZ). As i said before in an earlier post i am DayZ ignorant and have no idea what to do. The first thing that happens when trying to run the DayZ mod i get a window popup saying "addon dayz_anim requires addon CA_communityconfigurationproject E" I click ok and DayZ seems to run fine. I get into my first server and even though i try to filter only DayZ mod it doesnt look like it was possible. The Filter didnt work well for me. Anyway i get into a game and notice i have a LOT of supplies (guns, ammo, health, etc..) is this suppose to be like that? I thought i had to scavenge and search for food. The next thing that happens is the server menu continues to pop up every 5 mins and it seems like i have to reconnect every time. Wtf?? This is terrible... Then i just get run over or shot immediately when i venture to look for stuff. Very awful experience so far. How do i save? Does the server save your info?? May I suggest:http://mustygaming.com/Forum/index.php?/page/articles.html/_/articles/Serverinfo Also, you may want to use DayZ Commander as it makes finding servers easier (generally). Scroll to the bottom of this page:http://www.dayzcommander.com/ If you're having trouble joining one of the musty gaming servers, just go to their forums and seek out a bit of help. There are lots of good people over there willing to help! If you're also finding your initial experience with the game frustrating, it means you're having a normal first experience :). DayZ Commander will deal with all the DayZ server browsing for you nicely, it'll let you save your favourites for easy access too.Your character is saved onto the server. If the servers are private hive, you will have a different character each server. On servers hosting with the main hive your character is stored across all. Some private hives have starting gear, for your first time I recommend playing Vanilla DayZ where you spawn with only a bandage. A mid-range pop of around10-30 is a decent amount to start off with so you're not overwhelmed. If you play on Musty Gaming servers I can help you out over TeamSpeak or in-server side-chat if you need any help or guides. How did you hear about DayZ? I checked the stickies.It's a "START WITH 1000 TONS OF FOOD AND WATER AND GUNS AND AMMO AND CARS" kind of servers, it''s not supposed to be like that. The other 5 minute thing could be the server kicking you for some reason. You don't save, it "saves" automatically. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
