Blood reworking

While the blood system is currently very "hardcore" as it should be, it is actually more hardcore than real life is.

My suggestion: Keep food blood regen as it is. Have sodas also regenerate 200 blood (remember how they give you sugary drinks after you donate blood)

Have blood regenerate every half hour based on how hungry/thirsty you are. If your food and water is in the green, maybe regen 100 blood. If one is in the brown, then 30 blood. if one is red, then zero. And perhaps you even lose blood if you have a flashing indicator.

This is realistic since blood does regenerate in real life

I guess a blood regen over time might be reasonable. The real answer to healing yourself when solo is to find a hunting knife and matches. One cow is 6400 blood or so.

I really like the way it is now, where if you haven't got a hunting knife or matches, you have to rely on other players to cure severe wounds. I often see people in side chat asking for help with blood transfusions and often receive the help too.

I totally agree dallas, having blood loss should be a big deal and you should have unique benefits with player cooperation. But this change wouldn't make such cooperation any less necessary. With my current suggestion, it would take over two days of being constantly well fed while logged on to go from 100 blood to max again.

This has been discussed at length but since you actually put it in the *suggestions* section I'll leave it alone. Here is what I said in that other thread over two weeks ago ;)

It's still a good point though. I'd like to see slow blood regeneration perhaps accented by your water and food levels... keep those in the green and your body naturally produces more blood over time. Flashing red water and food, no blood regeneration. This is much more realistic than just eating some cooked steaks... what are we, very finicky vampires?

Transfusions are a clever idea in this mod but the blood supply is too limited and finding someone to give you one (especially if you are wearing the bandit skin) is near impossible.

My suggestion was a faster rate then yours though... maybe 10 points per minute if food and water were maxed green... after all there IS a numerical representation behind those subtle color changes... 10 in full green (which is rare) and 0 in both flashing red... per minute.

I am in support of blood regen only if it is PAINFULLY slow; like not even worth it slow, just enough to simulate how blood naturally regens. Maybe 500 blood per hour = a full 24 hours for 0-12000. Realistic and only barely advantageous, still could help in a pinch.

Just thought I'd throw this out there. If thirst/hunger drops while out of game blood should replenish while out of game.
