Oculous Rift support?

Recommended Posts

So I picked up one of these dev builds and figured, hey... you know what. Dayz on this would be amazing...
with that being said could we see oculous rift support in the initial or later realeases of DayZ Standalone?

Rocket has said a few times that he loves the rift but would have to be getting a steady 60 frames per second to use it, so yeah, i'd its a possibility but don't expect it any time soon.

IMO DayZ would work really well with the OR because of the Alt/free look function that already existed in ArmA.

I think being able to look around with my head but still aim with the mouse would feel incredibly natural and be super immersive.

I am optimistic but i doubt he will succeed. There are too many factors involved from hardware over server performance to number of clients etc. that can influence the fps.

I can imagine a lot of players getting motion sickness with that system, it will probably stay a niche product anyway although it might be quite cheap most players don't even want to buy a TrackIR for ArmA that costs only half of it.
