Arma II - Can´t connect to servers

Hi there. I just bought the Arma X: Anniversary Edition today over Steam to play DayZ

- Installed everything

- Ran everything once, before I ran DayZ

- Installed DayZ Commander and updated the Client

- Updated the Battleye .dll´s

 

But:

I still get the " Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_CommunityConfigurationProject_E' " - Error when I try to start the game.

( http://steamcommunity.com/app/224580/discussions/0/864970668073319118/ , what seemed to be the best/only solution did not work)

 

+ It still says, no matter which Server I want to join:" Bad Version - Server rejected Connection"

 

Additional:

Since I am new to DayZ.. You have 2 little Boxes in the Server Screen, one says "Version: (which is in my case) 1.62", but the "Required: (always red) 1.62.xxxxx" - Box kinda

makes me fell I am still missing something. Also the digits in the required Version differ after the "62" from Server to Server.

Try reinstalling the arma 2 beta patch. the version you need for vanilla dayz is 1.62.103718 

 

You can do this through dayzcommander under arma version.

And also you may just be trying to join with the wrong mod files. Dayzcommander lists servers running many different versions of dayz, the ones that show up with white text rather than grey are the ones that you have the right files for.

Also you should have the full 1.62.103718 showing.

You should be able to update the beta with DZC(I do not use).

Thanks for the advise, I´ll try that.

my DayZCommander says that I already have 1.62.103718, but ingame it´s not the full Version. But I will reinstall it anyways.

 

Btw:

I just figured out that Battleye in ARMA II OA Folders didn´t install itself when installing the game, so I did this manually now. Let´s if there is a change.

Edit: When I launch the mod with Beta Patch it works, but the Client then says there is the new 1.62 Patch available on arma2.com and I only see like 10 Servers

Ignore the wrong cd key error, its a common error and doesn't effect the beta installation.

 

To filter out other mods you can use the filter options to the left in dayzcommander.

Select hide wrong arma2 version and hide wrong mod version then hit refresh all servers at the top.

 

Or if you are trying to play one of the other mods leave the check box's alone and just search by the mods name.
