Morgankaines 13 Posted December 17, 2013 I kind of get it. Being a lesbian girl, I had to play through the Mass Effect series as a male, in order to get the romance I wanted. It really does something to the realism, when you hear the character you are RPing conversing in a male voice with the woman you like. Almost felt like I was doing drag or something. So instead of being able to RPit as me, I RPd it as "my male Shepard". Not quite the same, especially when my male Shepard cried out Steeeeeve in a dramatic voice, and I realised he had fallen for the guy Steve something (last game in the triology). I tore my hair out having to choose that as his final romance, out of guilt that I was selfishly forcing him to be with someone he didn't love. Apparently, Steve was cooler than "my" Jack ( a woman, for those who haven't played it). (An expl. I played it with my sister, side by side, and her Shepard didn't even blink when Steve went down, whilst my Shepard cried out in panic.
