rocket has confirmed that it is out. Would not make sense to implement a complete radio system if it was being kept anyhow. :)

 

It's probably there to make testing easier at the moment.

It won't be in the standalone. At least... not in public servers. I shudder to think what Teamsuck BS there's going to be in pHives.

I actually like side chat. It helps me find people that are in need of help and such - though of course bandits can use the same information. But doesn't that make it fun too - knowing that there will be those trying to ruin your day? Just ruin theirs instead!

It would be more fun with radios, you don't know who is listening in. You could think the frequency you're on is just you and your friend, but really someone else was listening in and is now tracking you down.

THIS, Jesus this. This is gonna be the best part. This will make people come up with slang for areas they are heading to, just a lot of creativity to become of this.
