Day Z (ARMA 2) are there any high res texture packs?

Not to say that ARMA 2 looks that dated but i was just wondering if there are any higher res texture packs out there? Some objects in ARMA 2 look very blurry when stood close to them.

I'm going to install Day Z tonight so wanted it looking it's best before proceeding.

Just wondered the same thing when I popped into the topic.

Even at Very High settings, I think there's some more that could get squeezed out of my machine's potential without framerate drop.

I have everything maxed out, like i said it doesn't look like a bad game but just doesn't look really high res, some of the textures just could do with being more detailed hence my original question. I guess there aren't any texture packs then.

If you're running Arma 2 free version I think textures will be downscaled (along with all other graphics). Also, you need the 2 DLC's to see the survivor & camo clothes in hi-res.

And no, there is no legal hi-res pack for DayZ.

There are some, but from what i can tell dayz servers dont allow them.

asfar as i know the PMC DLC/expansion will give you high ress textures for survivors and camo cloths..

Install expansions in your ArmA 2 main directory, update both of them, play DayZ.

There is a "Czech army" expansion being developed which has screenshots of a much higher resolution map, so I hope that once this is released we can use that version of the map if there are changes.

Increase the 3D resolution in the graphics settings

Makes the game look much better
