[SA] Types of Sights

Recommended Posts

PSO Scopes and some older scopes I'd be fine with, but honestly, chernarus is a 'post soviet union' country or something like that, the military only has ak's etc. So there shouldn't be American optics.

But on the second tought, it might be boring if it was just like this. Maybe really rare high-tech scopes?

I dare to say that there should be some good scopes on bolt action hunting rifles such as the CZ...but not some "million dollar" scope for like a .50 or .406 military sniper rifle or expensive rifles at all. You must think like a Chernarussian in this case, would a person from there dress up his gun like you average american gun owner who has a M4 or simething with rails in his posession? They would go for the practical things that do the jobs for the least money. If Chernarus was a like a modern western industrial state filled with villas that go in the millions ( usd of course not russian rubles ) i would have nothing against finding some more valuable or even imported goods, rifles, vehicles or something in that direction.

there is only one realistic type for the zombie apocalyps, ironsights :)

You are implying you are fighting your zombies closely, that is a silly thing to do if you can avoid it IRL in most situations.

Unless its shock and awe, which probably wouldn't work on zombies.

I'm just implying that it's the only sight type you can be sure to have on the gun you're gonna use. Anything else my break, be broken, loose, lost, scratched or out of batteries. And... game design wise i would not consider any addons to guns unless there isn't anything left to spend time on development time wise.

The night sights on my air rifle broke fast, the front bead fell out, so it was almost impossible to tell if I'd lined up with the front, especially when it got darker.

My scope however, Is fine.

Gamo too.

Nah don't compare a rather cheap air rifle to a RS one...that stuff is made in China. But somehow the sights on my cheapest ( 50€) air rifle are still in place and accurate as well as that scope that came with it.

I was referring in cheap as in price difference. Who knows about the stamp...customers are fooled nowadays. A product made outside the EU and packed here can still be labeled made in "name of the country". It might be assembled here...but..OT..

But iron sights are really among the most reliable of all devices you can have otherwise you would have a backup aimpoint instead of back up iron sights. No batteries, stays true if not tampered with unlike an aftermarket scope that has to be sighted first unless it has already been sold with a zeroed one.

They aren't iron sights they're plastic synthetic sights.

Russain firearms strong, everything metal or wood.

European and US everything synthetic plastic weakness.

Mother Russia prospers again!
