kichilron 8550 Posted October 28, 2013 Try this guide - it will show you what's affecting your performance and what isn't, yet makes the game look good: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28160-guide-how-to-set-up-your-graphics-properly/ It also has to do with the server and mod you're playing on. It differs extremely in between servers, even if they're running the same mod.
ramontvgames 32 Posted October 28, 2013 I give up!, I've tried all ways, uninstalled the game ... Standalone only game now .. game since July last year, I rode my machine now, how can this game be so buggy that way?!, I see people with lower settings than mine and play as well ... with other games do not have a problem only with ARMA II ARMA OA, and ARMAIII and DayZ, hope the Standalone not as poorly optimized and scheduled! Why I love this game!, As people who are responsible for (DAYZMOD), did not give way to optimize!, Can not understand it Thx, Bye! Until the release of DayZ Standalone!, I'll be watching the news as always!

diddums 3760 Posted October 28, 2013 (edited) Windows 8 blows donkey cock when it comes to Gaming he is 100% right in what he stated. Windows 8 is better optimized for gaming than Windows 7 in more games than not. Proven fact. Even more proof. These aren't opinions, they're facts. Numbers don't lie. So many people are bitching and moaning that their sandwich is cut into squares and not triangles, that they're forgetting why they bought it in the first place: because they wanted a sandwich. Windows 8 has its faults, make no mistake, but saying that it's outright garbage is just bullshit. Edited October 28, 2013 by Diddums
ramontvgames 32 Posted October 28, 2013 Windows 8 the only operating system that supports DirectX 11.1 100%, So if I put a SSD and install ARMA him I'll have the same performance?... that's for sure?! rossums 2190 Posted October 28, 2013 What the hell are people even talking about.Windows 8 > Windows 7 for gaming performance, there is literally no debate on the matter. The only reason people moan about Windows 8 is due to the interface, even that isn't that much of a problem if you're not a moron. brzator47@gmail.com 524 Posted October 28, 2013 Not much in terms of FPS, no.You didn't even post your in game settings or explained what's the problem aside from saying some streamer's game runs a million times better. What kind of FPS are you getting in forests, towns? Is it stutter that's the issue or just low FPS in general?

fully 51 Posted November 28, 2013 I brought a new rig late last year, loaded with windows 7 home edition.Microsoft had some deal on that got you windows 8 pro 64 for 20$ <--- who is going to turn that down? :DI know ir runs Arma way better than windows 7. Once you learn to use the metro interface and customize it. Then pin a start menu to your task bar there is no different to any other windows operating system.I few screeny's of them bothSo after almost 1 year of using, I think its being one of the less buggy o/s I have used.Anyway Have you tried using a Ramdisk?Google has a few tuts on how to install dayz to ramdisk.Basicly loads Dayz to ram to get that faster read write, that you do not get from with your hard drive!Just uninstall if there is no difference.
