stryker211 10 Posted June 21, 2012 You can already choose your sex when you spawn. I don’t see why we can’t choose a new skin after we choose the sex. I hate how everyone looks the same besides gear mostly. I know Rocket said the limited skins were due to what is available but there are lots of creative people that have created different civilian skins that could be added to choose from when you “create” a new character at the beach. Here are some examples that would be neat I think.Post Apocalypse Units by Icewindohttp://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11840I like these gives it sort of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R feel. People are going to find and use military gear so this is a good blend of that and keeping it civy.Chernarus National Police by Laerteshttp://arma2.filefront.com/screenshots/File/104737/2I like the idea of playing as a former police officer…http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=1029I like the guy’s skin on the left.Add your thoughts to the above skins and add more links to skins you like or submit your own that you think are proper. Turin (DayZ) 3 Posted June 21, 2012 I don't see what's wrong with keeping the default skin (which is kind of iconic of DayZ now) when players spawn, then have different outfits as findable loot within the game.I'm pretty sure they plan to add more skins as loot, so just be patient. thales2010@live.com.au 6 Posted June 21, 2012 yes, yes and yes is all I can say to the skins linked. In the world of DayZ there would be more than PMC running around. It's starting to get hard to distinguish between teammates and a server hopper who has logged in on top of you in the barracks. also i'd love to see the KSK scout skin (aka bandit skin) added into the loot table. ogdabou 0 Posted June 21, 2012 I say yes to have more skins. But no to trying to add them now, juste focus on the game test :)
stryker211 10 Posted June 26, 2012 I don't care when they are added, just that we have more choice is all. I'll happily wait.
DannyRed 32 Posted June 26, 2012 If you could choose your skin at the start i think it should be something a normal civilian would wear so the clothes you find in game as loot would not be useless.
