Yes, have to keep right clicking it to switch. I like it how it is now.

is there a way to use the flashlight now without switching to my inventory or do i have to put it where side arm would go?

You're required to place it in the side arm slot.

You're required to place it in the side arm slot.

You should be able to yield the flasflight and a handgun at the same time much the same way cops do.
