Callahan (DayZ) 3 Posted April 25, 2012 Hi guys im a player of dayz mod.I would like to say that every single minute there is another version on this mod and you need to close your arma and download the mod,and it takes 15 minutes!Also when you are download it another version come out,lol.I have also anothe problem: when i download the mod after it finish it says "damaged file" and i have to download it again 2-3 times so i spend 30 minutes download it and then another version come out and i have to download it again!Can you at least not use meadfire but another storage system?Sorry for my bad english Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cuel 2 Posted April 25, 2012 You only need to download the addon that was updated, which most of the time is dayz_code. In a zipped format it's around 100kB.This is an alpha that is under heavy development/patching so you'll have to live with updates. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
un_poco_lobo 0 Posted April 25, 2012 The constant updating is all part of the game being in Alpha state. Alpha means new features are being added, balancing, bug fixing. So yes you're going to have to do a lot of updating, but for me it's a small price to pay for getting to be part of the early stages of this mod and watching it grow. mattlightfoot 2463 Posted April 25, 2012 We apologise for any inconvenience and we try an limit our updates to one a day to limit the amount of downtime/pain it can be to update. What you may have experienced is when we upload an update which causes a problem and then we frantically have to release several subsequent updates to solve the problem over an extremely short period of time. jonnerz 33 Posted April 25, 2012 I think some sort of launcher would be ideal although I have no problem manually updating several times a day.
