2 Computers= 1 IP

Recommended Posts

Me and my son were going to play dayz. I joined a server, got to the lobby, he joins and i get no message received, on the other hand he gets wait for host, and when we both get in the game we have 5 minutes and the server crashes and takes about an hour to go back up. Is there a way to change my IP or is there any way to fix this?

Please reply!

It's the server at fault, not you :) find another to play on.

Having 2 computers using the same IP is fine, your character goes from your GUID and they will be different.

Could abe an issue with NAT translation. You can try modifying the ArmA2 shortcut and addding " -port=2350" to one of the computers. The number doesn't really matter, just as long as it's different from the other computers which will use 2302, 2304, 2305 by default. This will change the client port (though it's not documented) and allow you to connect to together. I assume if you use DayZCommander you could add that under additional parameters.
