Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 28, 2013 Install and run both ArmA II and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead up to the main menu once each. Install DayZ Commander...http://dayzcommander.blob.core.windows.net/releases/Dotjosh.DayZCommander.Installer.msi ...And use it to install the latest ArmA II beta patch (currently 103718) and DayZ mod version (currently 1.8). Then use DayZ Commander's server browser to find a server that you want to play in and simply double-click it. Hope this helps. :)

I provided a direct link to the Commander download to save him downloading whatever third-party rubbish they're trying to get people to download these days, lol. Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 29, 2013 Does that error actually prevent you from playing? It's quite common to get those kind of errors, but you can usually just click okay and ignore them.
SmashT 10907 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) First check that both ArmA and OA are up to date as the retail versions often need to be patched manually where Steam is automatically up to date. It shows the version on the main menu when you launch ArmA and OA. ArmA 2 should be on 1.11Operation Arrowhead should be on 1.62 If not, update from here. http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates If ArmA 2 and OA are up to date and the issue persists, try this: (Change the directories so they match where you have the game installed so they point to the actual OA\Addons and A2\Addons folders, obviously I use Steam so yours won't be in the same location) Open Command Prompt (Start>Run>CMD>and type:mklink "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead\Addons" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\AddOns" /j Hit enter and it should say junction created. Alternatively you can just copy the entire contents of your ArmA 2\Addons folder and paste it into your OA\Addons folder, the junction method above just saves space as it's about 7-8gb worth of files.
