Share Food With Your Friend

Recommended Posts

Rocket want's to try and make DayZ to where more players try to group and survive with each other instead of killing. I've seen a video where he talks about stuff like this.

Sharing your food

Is food hard to acquire? No, not at all but it is a but risky. If you play on Expert servers there there's ways to make them maybe a bit more tough. Food spawns really everywhere but it could but touched down a bit. Maybe just on Expert Servers. This is where being able tot share food should come in.

Your friend is starving and you hold a can of beans on you though you yourself need to eat also. Why not split the can of beans with your partner. It's not a difficult thing that could be added into the game from what I would think from Modding games. "Not on a scale of DayZ"

"EDIT" Another Idea for this: If the person you share food/water with is sick/infected then you will catch it to by sharing food with him or have a bigger chance for catching it.

"EDIT" When you share food/water it only fills have your hunger or thirst.

"EDIT" Blood is split in half of what you would originally get out of a full can.

Being able to share your food would help create a slight better group survivor and add some more depth into the game. Share your water, pop, beans.

I like this idea, it shouldn't fill up the hunger meter to full though, just to half so you will get hungry sooner than if you had a full can to yourself.

Yes of course. I was thinking of this also very realistic. I was thinking that an idea like this could get expanded even more.

If the person you share food/water with is sick/infected then you will catch it to by sharing food with him or have a bigger chance for catching it. Anyway. I hope to see a future patch some day with something like this. I have many more ideas I would like to share. I'm going to try and think of more ways for something like sharing food could be better on.

This is an amazing idea. It could be [i imagine] simply added as an option like "Bandage" or "Steal out of backpack" in the scrollwheel: "Share [can/soda/canteen/meat]".

Half the health back for each person, half the meter filled. Encourages group play without giving a distinct advantage.

All of my support.

Exactly right.

I think this idea needs a bit more support.

I was also thinking with Sharing Food/water with a player who has a cold could possibly give you a worse cold as in more blood loss. Why? Well it's obvious when someone is sick so if a player chooses to share his food with someone who is sick while you are not should pass on the sickness but also worsen it for you as in loose maybe 1000 more blood then the other guy would. If a person is desperate there should be a risk if you are willing enough to satisfy your hunger with an infected person.
