Problems ingame

Recommended Posts

Hello, people from dayz

Today i've installed arma 2, arma 2 OA, Dayz

I used dayz commander to login in one of the dayz mod servers. When I finally spawned in one of the server it lagged incredible but when I did ALT + TAB and clicked on the arma2 icon again the lagg dissapeared but when I random play it vary's from 1 minute tot 5 minute longer not it will start lagg again.. I hope someone had this problem aswell and could help me to fix it..

its not lagg its more stuttering the sounds stutter the whole game actually.

WINDOWS: 8

I had before windows 7 but my laptop crashed and originally there was windows 8 on it so i kept it the way it was

kind regards

My computer consists of the following specs:

Intel® Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz

NVidia GT 650 / 2 GB

6 GB of ram
1 TB / HDD

Are you kidding? The game runs fine here on 630m here. Hes saying its stuttering, not lagging.

What you can try  to do is to change to power options to high performance. And set Arma 2 OA profile in nvidia control panel to high performance to make it use the 650M.

Is your laptop getting cooled enough? Laptop gpu are known to clock them extremely down when getting too hot. I use a laptop external cooler for that. And maybe your cpu is also overheating?

Does this only happen in windows 8?

I would do what ^^^^^^said,

also it may be Win 8 that's the problem, but I am not 100% certain, might be worth googling any solutions/ similar problems from others
