Very Ape 748 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Title's pretty self-explanatory. You've shot another survivor, and as you approach his still body you realize he hasn't yet reached the clearing at the end of the path. What tends to happen; 1) You hand him a ticket back to the coast. 2) You communicate, with near-perfect clarity, to this unconscious person that when he wakes up he isn't to swivel around and shoot you, lest you kill him first. 3) You bandage him and leave. 4) You hope that when he wakes up you'll get to hear him beg for his life as you ask him to send you a postcard from lovely Kamenka, as you dramatically pull out your pistol-- No, you awkardly side-step around him as he's swivelling around, prone, and try to put that one bullet in his head. Maybe next time. As cruel as it sounds, it'd be fun, in the aftermath of a firefight, to approach the incapacitated but still-conscious survivor you've wounded. Perhaps he's flat on his back, clutching his gut and writhing in pain. Whatever. You slowly walk to him as he begs for his life. I am not suggesting a way for this to be implemented. Think outside the box before commenting; there's hundreds of ways this can be implemented (how it looks, differing levels of 'wounded-but-still-talkative'), and one of them is undoubtedly the "right" way. IrishHugo 75 Posted September 19, 2013 No matter what anyone says, the best way to deal with the incapacitated is to grab the unconscious bodies, ensure they're still bleeding, and drag them along while loudly singing "Mary had a little lamb" over the mic until they bleed out.
meat pie 632 Posted September 19, 2013 as said above pulling people is the best way to speak to some one with out them being able to kill you,but in arma2 when at low health you will lie on your back in pain so I it could happen but I dont know if it would work with dayz

Why did you shoot him in the first place, did he shoot you? How do you communicate with an unconcious person? Maybe the devs should mute the speakers and fade the screen to black when you are unconsious... Why shoot and bandage, makes no sense?
Sutinen 635 Posted September 20, 2013 I shot a dude who barged in the firestation until he went unconscious, then I pulled out my M9SD, walked up to him and shot him in the head. I wanted to see his point of view
Benderz of Hell 3 Posted September 20, 2013 I'd love to see this implemented. Only for the reason that when I get shot on sight, I try to question the person as to why they shot me (I don't really care about dying, I just want their reasoning) and then continue to get shot to death. I can't really complain because I'm a bandit with over -2mil Humanity, but getting randomly shot is annoying for those who do it too. Call me a hypocrite. Sadly, there's the harsh reality that shit will never, NEVER get implemented into DayZ because of the fact that Arma's engine is shit, and restricts a lot of movement. I mean just look how long it took them to create a jump movement that didn't involve the vault button.

Maybe but could he sort out what he heard? It's not like your ears are shut because you are unconsious, you can wake up from loud noise too. I doubt you can hear and understand every word they are saying.

Hence "with perfect clarity." As for implementation, call me crazy but I don't think it'd be that difficult, unless you were to include movement (ie, dragging yourself around, which already sort of exists.) What I imagined was that you would fall over and stay down until you've bled out, been given immediate medical attention or earned your ticket. NotRedd 51 Posted September 23, 2013 i enjoy dragging the unconcious player if they are on a roof and hanging them off the edge and wait for them to wake up. then they start trying to run away but its funny at that point since i just drop them.
Chaingunfighter 917 Posted September 23, 2013 Pull them into an area where they will be stuck when they wake up with no way to kill themselves and leave it on a public hive. Also, remove the respawn feature (For the non-joke part, this actually should be removed)
