Need help taking backup's pls?

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on factory resetting my computer but i don't want to lose all my gear on the servers (Also extra mods like origins and overwatch), is there anyway i can still keep it, like taking a back-up, if so where can i find the files? Also will my GUID change after a factory reset?

Sorry if this isn't the right place tell me where it should be and i'll change it sorry, new to the forum. Anyways i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me.

Thanks!

Aaah nice alright that's one thing i'm sure of thanks, but if my GUID changes i probably won't be able to use the data, isn't it linked to my GUID?

Your GUID is linked to your CD key.

You can also back up your mod files and put them back into your Arma2 Operation Arrowhead folder after you reinstall it.

This is not neccessary, but will help eliminate the need to download the mods again.

You can typically find these folders at:

program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma2 operation arrowhead

The folders are called @dayzorigins and @dayzoverwatch.

Your gear/GUID etc will all stay the same. None of that is stored on your computer.
