BogRoll212 3 Posted September 16, 2013 Does anyone know the damage of an Mk17SD sniper on Dayz Epoch?
Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted September 16, 2013 It's 7.62mm. I believe it's the same as the AKM.
Skat3rat 1633 Posted September 16, 2013 Statik is correct. Just remember though that since it's SD, it looses power much, much quicker at range. It may do as much damage as an AKM at close range, but after a few hundred meters, it lacks heavily in power.

Frytek 130 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) Yup, the damage at close range is same as other 7.62x51 (dmr, m 24) akm is different calliber (7.62x39) and deals less damage. And SD makes the bullet slow as hell and less damage over range, so its good for quite close range.*Breaths deeply* Edited September 17, 2013 by Frytek

mercules 1290 Posted November 25, 2013 Hero/Bandit traders? Also bit of a necro there. I believe the gun is sold at the Hero/Bandit traders but the ammo is at the Black Market vendor which means a trip to Stary.

mercules 1290 Posted November 25, 2013 He said Namalsk Epoch You are correct... Well, where ever the Black Market vendor is... that is where the ammo will be found UNLESS They changed the trader tables.
lowkey 14 Posted December 2, 2013 I would not worry to much about damage dropoff with that weapon....Max you will hit anything is a little over 350. Max zero is only 300 and with the magnification on the scope, you are not going to be able to correct for much longer shots with any accuracy.
ihazroflknive@hotmail.com 1 Posted December 4, 2013 It zeroes to 300m, and even then, it's bullet drop is so large that the bullet won't even reach the target accurately.
