How do you kidnap someone in DayZ? people have done this for fun, but really its a jerk move. Let them be.

Are you asking how as in "I would like detailed instructions." or the moral 'how can you live with yourself'?  For the 2nd I'd guess it's to the point where people get bored of just shooting people for their gear and want to make a challenge of it.  One of the reasons I try to keep a grenade on me whenever I find one.  Cooperate, drop your gun, go with them, wait for the vehicle/helicopter, throw the pin, drop the grenade.

Sneak up behind the person, shoot him in the leg (if your weapon is weak enough not to kill him) and yell "DROP YOUR FUCKING GUN!" or something similar. If s/he complies, you order them to walk forward/turn left-right/get in your car/et cetera, and in doing so march them around the map to your heart's content.

I once held a party bus filled with over 13 noobs captive. they all willingly disarmed themselves, and I drove it up to Zelenogorsk to meet my bandit friends. I don't know just what they did, but it didn't take long for all the death messages to appear. They could have at least asked for the satchel...
