NixonsCat 0 Posted September 14, 2013 I am almost definite this has been posted before, but none of them fix my problem. Alright, obviously the title says it all, I am having severe performance issues. I have turned down all of the graphics and still sitting at 10-15 fps, I have changed the launch options with the -cpuCount= or whatever and overclocked, still nothing. I am genuinly puzzled, I would appreciate help because right now DayZ or any ARMA 2 is virtually unplayable. monoking 22 Posted September 15, 2013 Have you checked other servers around? Some servers are infested with duped bodies and cause major lag.
FizzyT 30 Posted September 15, 2013 I'm trying to get to the bottom of my issues atm too. Everything runs fine until someone flys overhead in a heli or plane... Then fps drops down to like 5fps for 5 mins or so.
Cobs 49 Posted September 16, 2013 You and many people are having trouble running DayZ with an FX processor. Looks like the BullDozer is an Eight Core AMD FX Series. The game really doesn't seem to like them. Here is a quote taken off a discussion about it that I've relayed over to a few fellow DayZ players: Basically, if you're running a highly-intensive program on an FX processor and it does NOT utilize all your cores (ARMA 2 won't fully utilize anything above 4 cores), go to the BIOS and change the AMD ACTIVE CORE CONTROL to "1 Core per CU (Module)" and overclock as much as you can, and you will gain performance, even if you don't overclock. But if the program DOES utilize all of your cores, setting the CPU to only use 1 core per module will only decrease performance.I hope this helps, also I hear the new DayZ update will boost performance. The update is scheduled to come out today if all goes well.
