Since I've been censored for reviving old topics. I thought I would start a new one. The topic I commented on was only seven weeks old and obviously completely irrelevant according to inception. Aren't old, irrelevant topics supposed to be graveyarded, I was of the understanding that that section was designated for that specific purpose. Perhaps moving "old topics" there would prevent future errors on the part of community members. 

 

I think the moderators of this forum are becoming increasingly volatile towards any criticism of the mod or DayZ standalone. Logical community members: If you think what I've said below is harsh and irrelevant please let me know. It's become obvious that these forums are dying and I'm of the opinion that it's due to increased fanboyism and outright rudeness towards any comment that doesn't fall in line with the moderators group think.

 

Here is the comment that was censored. As I've noted I feel that it is very relevant and informative for possible buyers of not just DayZ but those that may accidentally buy Arma 2 for the DayZ mod when it has nearly become irrelevant. I have a feeling this will be yarded before much feedback is given, so please feel free to PM me if you have a comment. Thanks so much for your time and I'll see you on Altis.

Arma 3 DayZ is getting better and better.

 

Plus, Arma 3 blows the DayZ mod OUT OF THE WATER! I can't imagine the standalone being better than Arma 3 due to the weakness of the ToH engine compared to the new Arma 3 engine.

 

Why not just get Arma 3 and forget about DayZ standalone?

Radios in Arma 3: Holy shit I'm IN COMBAT.

Shoes in DayZ: Blah. Seriously, do you realize how long it takes a pair of shoes to wear out. Years. 

Roles in DayZ: Meh,unless your born into the role with each new spawn because realistically if you aren't a helicopter pilot, you aren't becoming one after the zombie apocalypse.

Hi Dr Gonzo.

 

I can't really speak for Inception but it looked like he locked it for "Necroing" or reviving an out of date thread.  I wouldn't call it censorship tbh as the thread is still there and publicly viewable and has been for many weeks, it was just locked recently.  He wasn't volatile either, he just said "thread locked, please don't revive old topics" :/ .

 

Next time maybe it would be better to just PM one of us and ask if we could unlock it so that you can carry on discussing the topic.  With that in mind, I'll go and unlock it now so that you don't feel that you're being censored any more =)

Just send me a PM if you feel the lock was unjust. There was no censorship what so ever, nor was there any "rudeness" as Fraggle stated--and I don't care for Arma 3 vs Standalone debates. 

 

The topic was one and a half months old and that is why I locked it.

 

The graveyard is not for old topics but for topics where the topic itself is stupid/atrocious/whatever and should never have been posted.
