Texture/Mods Question

All right so I get a bit of a hard on for custom looking games and I am wondering if I could make some custom textures (grass,weaps,misc) to run on a server that doesn't technically allow them because it could be potentially used for hacking. How would I get around this? Would it be considered hacking? I tried replacing the .bisign files of the texture mods with other ones from dayzmod but I got a session lost error instead of the "Mods not allowed" error. I do realize that contacting the server admin and asking him to allow the mod would be a solution but lets get real here, he wont even begin to consider it. 
 
Inb4 somebody calls me a hacker; If I am doing something that would be considered hacking then I'll stop immediately as I do not want to get banned again (Yes, I got banned 3 months ago for downloading a file that would allegedly make the game look better, ended up getting my key phished)
 
I do know that there are some expansions for the game that replace some textures but I'd like to go as far as to completely redesign the grass and other immersion enhancing stuffs. Also, I find it kind of dick-like that these guys make you pay $20 for like 4 textures that were purposely toned down to make people pay for extra bs; I don't play ArmA I play DayZ, I'm not gonna use %90 of the stuff on those expansions. But hey, that's another topic for another day.

Love the mod and the community and looking forward to giving this game a graphical overhaul. Heck, maybe I'll even start a server for game modders like myself.  ;)
