Knocking people out?

Is their any possible way to knock someone unconscious and to take their weaponry, without dealing massive damage?

 

The reason i ask is because i want to simply disable enemy players, without causing them to lose all their hard earned gear permanently and i want to avoid being a bandit to. Regardless of how hard it is to play peacefully, i would rather like to show that a little mercy in this game is possible.

I don't want to see something like out of an old TV show where the hero punches or karate chops someone and they're instantly knocked out, no harm done...

That may work in The Avengers or The Rockford Files, but it's not how it happens in real life.

 

DayZ should mimic real life.

In some mods there is tazers but thats all I can think of

the only thing you can do is shooting them with something with a kick firepower (like a winny or an enfield) hoping they are at full blood, then go there and bandage them while explaining in direct they shouldn't shoot people..a lot of people fires again, but a lot also fire in panic so they'll be friendly from that point..

There's a knockput script available but it's way OP, you can knock people out through solid walls or from the floor below.

enemy players diserve to get shot\killed and loose all there gear.
