Riska 0 Posted June 21, 2012 wxEcho, I to am using an M107 and I can't thank you enough for your post on advanced mil-dotting for the between ranges. Sometimes I have a tendancy to just over or just under-estimate a distance (and I know that it's just over or just under). You're guide really helped me get that under control using the mil-dots. I got a sniper and his two friends today after he missed his first shot. 4 shots, 3 kills. Luckily I knew the area he was shooting me from, so I guestimated the distance. xBlackCat 1 Posted June 21, 2012 Based on the chart supplied above, the "1 mil dot per 100m" assumption for the DMR works to within .1-.2 mils out until 700m, where it completely falls apart. At 600m though, it is spot on, where any deviation would matter the most.Similarly, without full zoom, you can just assume that the rifle is zeroed anywhere out to 250m without too much fuss, any further and you should probably be using the higher zoom anyway. This is a convenient switching point anyway because fully zoomed, the rifle is apparently zeroed at 300m.TL;DR"Good enough is" DMR chart:100m 0, low zoom200m 0, low300m 0, high zoom400m -1, high500m -2, high600m -3, high700m RUN AWAYYYYYYYYY!
