Black screen with white dots

Just updated to 1.7.1.5, patched again etc and when I spawn in a server I'm getting a completely black screen with white dots in the distance. It seems I can run around and everything, but I literally can't see anything.

Is this actually a bug, or is it supposed to be this way?

I can't, no, unfortunately. Fraps won't take screenshots in-game and print screen takes a snap of the desktop. Not much to see though. Just a black screen with what look like stars. The UI is still there.

I honestly have no idea. It's quite ridiculous if that's what night time looks like in-game. Can't see a cm in front of my face, so how am I supposed to play?

get your flash light out, depending on what version you're running it'll be in your utilities bar or back pack accessed by pressing G

This is happening to me too, I've been playing since release and I can verify that in my issue it is certainly not nighttime, and I've tried the flashlight, no light emits from it. I can see all HUD, hear myself walk, and hear my gunshots, just can't see anything at all, and I've also brought up my map to check the watch there, because watch/compass doesn't show up when I hold or toggle them, and it was 3:00PM when I checked them, certainly daytime.

From what I've just seen the flash light does absolutely nothing. Is there a button to turn it on?

I'll try that in a bit. Honestly took me about 10 minutes just to load into the game and I can't be arsed right now, as lazy as that sounds.

Geralt, are you running the latest ArmA beta patch? It could be an issue but I doubt it, I'm updating it right now to find out.

Fixed: If you have the beta patch, reinstall it, the beta patch worked for me.
