Hey all,

           having some problems with only one server.. (just so happens to be my favorite server on DayZ) I encounter this error whenever I get past the lobby screen, I get the "Waiting for character to create" and then it kicks me out of the game. I have been looking all over the internet and am only finding cheat reporting?! The server I play on is 1# pvp spawn with rifles and sniper and it restarts every hour.

 

The only thing I can think it would be is that at the time I was flying a huey and the server restarted unexpectedly. Ever since then I have been having problems, at the time I had an M40A3 and an M4A1 Holo, which as far as I'm aware, is in the loot system. I am in the process of trying to contact an admin to see whats up, but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if there is anything I can do my side (if anything)

 

I uninstalled then reinstalled DayZ with no success, also have validated steam files and again with nothing to show for it, if anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated.

Check that you have vanilla DayZ mod. Ask for some support from your mod author if it's not the case.

Check that you have latest BE filters and you update them regularly. Current addweaponcargo.txt has only 24 lines, so #55 can't exist.

Post here the log lines (from addweaponcargo.log) that correspond to your issue.

The mod I have is definitely vanilla DayZ and I have uninstalled and updated BE. Where can I find addweaponcargo.txt?

the log files and the filter files should be in the same folder as your ban list (bans.txt) and your BE config file.

Do a search on the server file system.

Having a bit of trouble trying to locate the folders.. I have found your filter updates on github faco, obviously downloading them and replacing might solve the issue I am having?

Am I being completely stupid or something.. I can't for the life of me locate this folder, is it only a server side txt file?

It's a server side txt file indeed, it goes to the BE working directory.

Another idea of what might of occurred this.. At the time of being on the server, I am pretty sure there was a hacker online, I was on the sniper hill looking over elektro and noticed that the supermarket had been blown to the ground.. I guess a script he ran could've affected me in some way? However friends that I play with have had no problems! Am now in process of deleting arma 2 and oa and reinstalling too see if that solves it!

if you downgrade your dayz version you will be able to hang on loading enabling you to press escape when on the loading screen and respawn your character

 

you will lose all your stuff but should be able to play again on the server

Downgraded to 1.7.6.1 and attempting to join the server in question.. getting this error now atm - Include file z\addons\dayz_code\system\REsec.sqf not found!

Ok, I tried that the first time and still getting same restrictions.. I am obviously a bit of a technical noob but when you say escaping the loading screen to restart my character, it either takes me back to the main menu, or just skips straight to giving me this stupid error.

do you run the gameserver on your own machine?

If not, ask your hoster for support.

I really don't understand your problem. You can replace the filter files, which are in the folder I told you, but you can't locate the folder.

Where do you configure your rcon password?

I don't run a server, and there isn't anything wrong on my end. It's a server based problem, until they update their filters or the game updates, I'm not sure there's anything I can do.. thanks for all suggestions tho
