Updating battleye files question???

Recommended Posts

I recently tried to install the Street lights script to my server. The tutorial suggested I add a bit of code to my script.txt file in my battleye folder. Opening up my server files with FileZilla I noticed I have two battleye folders. One is Battleye the other is OldBattleye. The script file I need to change is in the OldBattleye folder. Needless to see after using the tutorial I still could not get the street lights to work. Not sure if the discrepancy lies with me just not putting the code in right correctly or it's not working because I have these two battleye folders and the scripts.txt file is in the wrong one.

I don't know if this is exactly the right answer but here's what I did, I copied all the battleye files from "battleye old" into the battleye folder and modified the scripts.txt file as  needed for the scripts I added. I then made sure that scripts.txt was the same in both folders and I haven't had any issues.

Also, street lights can be a killer depending on your server. I tried them on Tavi and it was pretty bad when they were active. Looks cool as hell though.

Anyway you can upload your scripts file with the street lights code for me on here?

Wow. So the internet does have articulate people asking for help.

Like the suggestion above: Just add that line of code to everything you think BattlEYE needs it for; you're bound to find the right file eventually.

Word of warning, however:

If you try using SargeAI and enable helicopter spawns (and disable the anti-hack spawned helicopter autodeath) and you start changning everything to include "--@SAI" (or whatever it is), it will break AI spawns and there will be 256 of them, about 50 in each grid adjacent to your own if you're the only player on the server. (256 is the alive spawn limit)
