Mos1ey 6301 Posted July 29, 2013 what about the 3D render ?high on 50% or more than 50%?ty anyway In 1920x1080 I'd say you should be playing on normal-high settings. In 1280x720 you'd be fine on high.
lol22 0 Posted July 29, 2013 I have Intel I3 and 1.9GHz, onnboard graphics and I can run arma 2 and day on normal without much lag although it lags a bit in cities but it's still playable

Very nice, 30+ on very high.As for the processor: i5 if its strictly gaming and daily computer stuffs, i7 if you are planning on video editing/video stuffs. It wouldn't bottleneck, not with that hardware, but it would be a bit stronger if you overclock. I've got an i5 3570k and GTX 780 and run close to max settings with great FPS. The GTX 770 isn't much less powerful at all, you'll run DayZ great on that system. The i7 3770k is a slightly better CPU but I'm not sure it's worth the extra money (why I went with the 3570k). Like dulix said, I wouldn't bother unless you plan on doing some serious multi-tasking or a lot of video editing.

Yeah, I had a similar setup and was getting around 15-20 fps in the cities at high settings, Overclocked the cpu to 4.2ghz and saw huge improvements, around 30-35 in cities.

Try overclocking the 6300 the clock speed is 3.5 stock mine is at 4.4 also your gpu while good isnt fantastic, i hate to tell you that you probably overspent if it cost you over $700 my pc has the same ram same cpu and much better gpu and it cost me £

Also i get the same fps on very high and low for some reason. you may want to google dayz optimum gfx settings and follow that.YOU must have all your driver up to date for sure. look at my post above and see my FPS based on intel systems, including a shit system and a laptop. you should be getting similar results as me, so say 40 fps cities and 60 fps in forests.about as much as can be expected from DAYZ. its a hog. your gfx card is more than enough for the game, make sure you optimize your settings.SUCH AS VIDEO MEMORY - DEFAULT (uses max avail vid card memory) (most would want to select high or very high, but thats wrong)also editing the CFG file as per GOOGLE SEARCH will help. you can easily find 10-15 fps by optimizing without sacrificing graphics. I turn off shadows and ATOC to help a bit with the fps and also allows me bad eyes to see a bit further/better. Edited July 30, 2013 by deebz1234
