Desktop

Monitor resolution:        1920X1080

Motherboard:                ASUS Sabertooth Z77 1155 Socket
CPU:                             i7 2600k @ 4.6ghz / H100i watercooled
Graphics card:              EVGA 650ti SC 2GB x2 SLI (Though I can't figure out how to get the game to support SLI)
RAM:*                          16GB @ 1600 Corsair Vengeance
SSD? (Yes/No)              No SSD just a single TB WD 7200

PSU:                             1000w Kingston

Been running the game since launch with only small issues, one is FPS obviously, most have been having this issue as well. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to get the SA to support SLI so I can run the settings my computer should be able to run. I know it is alpha, so its not that pressing, but hey, if it can be done, I would like to do it.

Thanks guys

Desktop or laptop?
Monitor resolution: 1920 x 1080
CPU: AMD Phenon II X6
Graphics card: ATI 6850
RAM: 6 GBs
SSD? (Yes/No)

For an alpha, the game runs well enough to make the game enjoyable. Framerate is great but does dip at times... so all in all, the game runs better than most major releases by big huge game companies. Keep up the good work, and I will be contributing any way I can!

Hi,

I just wanted to know if my Old PC can run Dayz Mod at at least 20-25 FPS.

Specs-

Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz

2.00 GB Ram (I know that sucks)

Nvidia Geforce GT 430

100GB HD

And sense i'm upgrading after Christmas. Can anyone give me a recommended build for DayZ standalone? Looking to get 40-70 FPS and under 1,000 USD. If that won't cut it please give me the next best thing under 1K.

THANKS!  :D

No, I don't think you will run the mod at a playable level on that machine. Sorry!

You should be able to build a machine with a decent i5 (2500k or 3570k), 8Gb RAM and then whatever graphics card you can afford with the remaining money (GTX 660, 660Ti, 760, 670, 770 recommended).

Thanks for the input man. And I will for sure give your recommended build a go. But just two question-

How much FPS do you think I could get for the mod version on my Potato and how much FPS do you think I can get with the Standalone with the recommended build? Of course you can't give me the exact FPS but I would like to hear your estimate.

My pc runs, crysis 3 all maxed out 60/80 fps.

Battlefield 100+ any situation, no problem.

I was at a pc store, they have checked, my computer and they sad its all fine, Tempratures are ok, core-speeds etc, all ok.

Arma2/dayz, only uses like 21% of my cpu. =/

Btw, i cant run Arma 3 aswell. laggy as F*CK.

I put my pc together today.. I have a i5-3570k, asrock z77 pro3, and HIS radeon 7850 2gb.  I dont have Dayz yet, i bought arma 3 first.  i was running only 25-45 FPS with stock cpu and gpu settings. I am at 4.4 ghz and sped up my gpu to almost max.. now i get 60-100 FPS!!  Try looking up your drivers for your mobo and gpu.. Look at whats safe and just try to stay on the basic side of tweaking. I ran into a FEW issues being my normal self.  Def worth spending some time really looking into it. Also, certain settings, if you turn them all the way up, they will route to your gpu and away from your cpu. I found that this help me tremendously.. If you want some help looking into this. Let me know. i can give you a few sources to help.    Ive been playing the crap out of wasteland. Maybe i can help!

I have that exact case! if you're looking for style points I'd say buy the NZXT HUE, the LEDs look awesome shining out through the window in the side of that case.

As for the specs, I think you'd run it absolutely no problems AT LEAST on Medium settings. I have a FX-9590 and a GTX 770 and it runs very very well.

No sorry, that is some very old hardware, I don't think you'll be able to run it at all.

Desktop.

GPU: GTX 690 4gb.

CPU: I7 3770 3.4ghz

RAM: 16gb

OS: Windows 7

SSD.

Connection -

Upload speed: 100 kb/s

Download speed: 650kb/s

BF4: Ultra settings 60+ fps

Am I able to run the Dayz game on my pc. I only 18fps in the mod (outside city's, inside even lower).

Normal Arma 2 ran for 50fps, somehow Operation Arrowhead drops to 10-20fps.

i get like 10fps on the BEACH!

i do realize the game is in alpha which is why im totally cool with it not working. but i see so many streams running so well on what seems like on lesser computers. (besides my g card ><) But i run skyrim/wow/bf all on high-ultra settings fine. im curious if a particular component i have is ruining dayz for me.
