LancerG2 369 Posted August 27, 2013 So my Idea is that we have a few thing to implament feature wise. I got around to playing a source mod called Zombie Panic Source. (Video below) and realised it had some good realism elements to it. One of my main idea's is that the more ammo you carry (and spare weapons) could slow you down. A stamina bar as well as another implamentation feature. Zombies should be able to run as fast as the player and in order for zombies to be a high priority target in the game the player should be able to run and run until he gets tired from running that he starts slowing down. Then he can either kill the zombie before he gets pounced. The stamina bar itself can regrenate slowly but eating food with a high nutrition value (carbo hydrates, fibre) can speed it up again. As long as your in a good healthy condition it regenerates fine. Being wounded/injured can also be another factor. As for the ammunition feature the more ammo you carry (Sidearm ammo, main weapon ammo, grenades) the heavier you get. You walk slower and you run slower and shorter. This could Implament a feature for sharing and swapping gear to other players. This Idea could stop KoS a little if players chose to trade gear like makarov mags for M249 belts. This is why we also have a panic function. Think of this. You're running down an alley in Electro. Not only did you stock up on an AKM and 8 magazines but you're being chased by a decent horde of 7-8, you don't want to shoot in Electro in fear of raising a horde of more zombies so you run. In the end you get really, really tired. So in a quick sucussion you drop everything you have and you get a quick stamina boost and you leg it evading the zombies. Later you go back to find your loot you live another day. Then a sniper on a rooftop with a DMR shoots you. YOU ARE DEAD. Basically when you press a key you go into panic mode. You drop all weapons and your backpack and keep only the clothes on you except for your utility vest. You can move quicker for a short amount of time before you go back to normal speed. After evading whatever sticky situation you got back into you realise you lose everything. This feature would be good and it would make players make a certain choice wether they wanted to risk losing thier stuff or suffer the consequences and die with it. So thats my Idea. Go ahead and feel free to comment. The Zombie panic source survival guide, Incase you wanted to see it.

Chaingunfighter 917 Posted August 27, 2013 The problem with having the same system as ZPS is that ARMA has much larger worlds than the Source engine can even be created (Chernarus is somewhere like 120x larger than GM_Bigcity)It would be incredibly inconvenient to have a stamina bar while moving up north or even just in between cities in general.A weight system might be better, but it doesn't really seem like with the SA's current inventory type that it would work well. LancerG2 369 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) It would be incredibly inconvenient to have a stamina bar while moving up north or even just in between cities in general. Howso? As in you could run faster here and there? Or taking longer? Because the main concern is that it is really, really quick to get from one side of chenerus to the other. Ever see those DayZ lets play when they are in 3rd person and they just run and run and run? The stamina bar means that once they get tired they have to wait before just can run again. psst Goos yes I know who ye are very interesting indeed im looking into this Took you long enough. Hehehehe. Edited August 27, 2013 by LancerG2
