Creating private hive

Hi all,

 

I want to create a private hive so I can play dayz singleplayer ( I am weird, I know ) but I can't get it to work

 

Could anybody tell me what downloads I need, what version of dayz?

Hosting a private server from your own PC isn't an easy task.  A better alternative would be to play on a server with 0 people if you want to practice by yourself if you're new to the game.  I suspect you'll get bored rather quickly though.

I have experience with hosting it myself, have played it on my own for 3 months or so, till steam decided to update some stuff -.-

Open DayZ through steam, click multiplayer, create game and password it? That way no one can join you.

I don't care that nobody can join it ( not forwarded anyways ) and I want to play the zombie survival, not team deathmatch

This is what i hate, an honest person looking for help and nobody able to. All me and this man are looking for is a simple pointer in the right direction of where to get the software if possible, seeing as either i am an idiot or the software is one of the hardest things to find in the world.

 

I think we both realize that it is not necessarily easy to host a server, but i have a self-managed machine running an array of virtual server on it. would someone at least throw in a link?
