10k crawler 0 Posted June 20, 2012 Broken bone from calling over a rock or a tree root or something. Knocked loopy from opening a door that apparently hit me in head. Crawled (because couldn't get up due to broken bone) what seemed to be 5 miles, avoiding zeds, into a factory complex (with ear and eye icon showing no signs of being heard or seen) near a building with closed doors that sounded like zed inside, only to be jumped by said inside zombie and killed. I know it's a beta, I know! But come on. Not sure I would continue to play (insert favorite game) if after grinding it out for 2 hours my character just bursts into flame and died due to no fault of my own. Not saying, just saying. walrus2517 27 Posted June 20, 2012 It's not beta, it's alpha. Wait for the 1.7.1.5 patch today or tomorrow and try again.
Frogbones 5 Posted June 20, 2012 It's an ALPHA not even close to a beta.....this forum gives me a headache....
patluk@sasktel.net 1 Posted June 20, 2012 The are constantly updating ARMA 2 to fix stuff like this. You'll soon learn how to move around the world in a way that will keep you from bursting into flames.
Rehclip 0 Posted June 20, 2012 As everyone already said... its in its alpha stages, not beta.Consider the suggestions OR bugs section, not the new players section for things like this.
ChiefMasterKush 321 Posted June 20, 2012 .. but its alpha? Also, don't call over a rock or a tree or something. Don't smack yourself in the face with a door. Use morphine to fix broken bones (works like a charm). Don't walk up to suspicious zombie like noises.Sounds like you learned a lot of valuable lessons. These things will not change much or at all when the beta is release or the final product. So try not to trip over rocks and the like. Hopefully zombies will not have a sniper scope for very much longer.
10k crawler 0 Posted June 21, 2012 Hopefully new patch will improve game. For those "it's an alpha, not a beta" flamers...what, you guys got bored with WoW?? Thanks for the help. :P
Peyj 1 Posted June 21, 2012 Hopefully new patch will improve game. For those "it's an alpha' date=' not a beta" flamers...what, you guys got bored with WoW?? Thanks for the help. :P[/quote']What on earth does WoW have to do with it?Anyway, I was surprised to find I was injured after leaping off a small drop as well. I'm used to being able to jump off shorter heights quite safely. I know better now for DayZ, though! ;)
Saylaion 1 Posted June 21, 2012 Even though I didn't contribute to helping you. You're welcome! Enjoy DayZ buddy!
Max Planck 7174 Posted June 21, 2012 Seriously guys,he is just trolling. There is no way anyone could think it's a beta, as every third post in these forums says "it's in ALPHA! ALPHA! ALPHA!". It is even stickied!Right now the OP is going "loool lololol i troll you!" while thinking of his misspent youth and crying a little inside.
LIMITID 28 Posted June 21, 2012 If your "grinding it out" in this game your doing it wrong.

Thanks for the help. :P[/quote']No - it's a valid point. You experiment more more in Alpha and aren't so concerned with strange bugs. Beta is where you polish and get rid of most of the bugs... :dodgy:
