Make it an option, then. Those who want to "man up" can choose to spawn naked. The point of the simulation is individual experience, not trying to weed out new players who don't like "Nintendo-hard" experiences.

Alternately, if you think it is too easy: Everyone gets a starting weapon and you can choose to spawn in, throw all your stuff on the ground, and only allow yourself to crawl while screaming in direct connect.

I think the new zombie-aggro makes it harder for new players, but you will get around this. It is extremly easy to loose the aggro in a forest when you run through bushes or trees (where the leafs are near the ground). So I won't apreciate spawning with a weapon. It would be like this:

Its not exactly hard to get a weapon off the bat though you just need to run to barn's and bam you are more than likely to find a winchester or a double barrel and maybe even a hatchet and then you can go into some of the cities while having a weapon to defend yourself

It is really not that hard to spawn a new character. Actually since 1.7.2.4 I dont effin care for zombies. Basically you can just run around in towns.

Being fairly new to this game, starting without a weapon is extremely discouraging. I like the idea of not having one, but the AI of the zombies makes survival almost impossible. Getting chased by a zombie for miles who runs ridiculously fast and can make you bleed to death with one open hand bitch slap kind of makes a person not want to play anymore. If the blood didn't pour out so fast and eating could slowly replenish your blood levels, that would make more sense. Don't get me wrong guys, i'm not raging, its just a viewpoint from a new player. hope it helps.

100% agree. I'm experiencing similar Problems and Thoughts about the Game. If you dont spawn with a Pistol, you should at least spawn with a Melee Weapon. But I would prefer a little Pistol, like the Makarow, with 1 or 2 Mags.

you people are totaly wrong it is a good idea to start with a bad melee weapon.

if there breaks some virus out and i have to leave my house i won't only bring pain killers and a bandage and a flash light.

i would take a weapon to smash with maybe make flashlight melee to ?
