Taking in questions for Rocket and Dayz Standalone at Gamescom

Question for Rocket:

Can you remove the "brightness" and "gamma" video settings so it forces people to play in the dark so it's scarier?

Q: How does the lootspawn work? Does it spawn with the server restart, will respawn? Or is it like currently when a player enters the area the loot will spawn and despawn again when leaves?

Also what diseases (other than cholera and dysentery) are planned/already implemented?

Cholera, Typhoid fever, Dysentery, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Leptospirosis, Tuberculosis, Viral Meningitis, Bacterial Meningitis, Common cold, Influenza

By no means final, mechanisms for all have not been confirmed but that's the current working list. You must find specific antibiotics for the infection. You only receive information on your symptoms, never on your infection. Furthermore, you can sometimes find the vaccines (if they exist in the real world) for most of these conditions. Many of these conditions will only really affect late-game characters. Current antibiotics include: Doxycycline, Tetracycline, ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, penicillin, rifampin

If mod tools will be available, Im almost sure they will be, just for him to confirm it tho.

Modding won't be supported on release, they cant support modding until the core architecture is locked down and hacking/security has been sorted. Obviously they want to support it though given DayZ's roots so we will probably see it at some point.

Are only some trusted people able to host DayZ servers or can anybody host their servers in first weeks/months?

Already been confirmed. Server files will be available to all on release, all servers will connect to the public hive though. (at least initially)

How big would you estimate the download size be for DayZ

It's a little under 6gb currently, I'd expect that to increase as content is added though.

Ask him about the dynamic bleeding system he mentioned, and if this means we could see some kind of dynamic injury system, maybe organ damage and different kinds of broken bones?

- Are we going to see more "surgery" based player healing?

- What kind of cooperative game play mechanics can we look forward to?

- How goes development of player made barricades and other structures?

- How goes development on zombies and their interactions with said barricades? I've heard the zombies have animations for tearing things down. Sounds kind of promising...
