When was the las time anyone saw/implemented an effective roadblock?

Well there is this bush at krutoy cap that is on the edge of a road that someone put a tank trap inside of.  It stopped a few cars.  Another time I saw someone set up two tractors and a satchel charge on the road infront of Skyrim mountain and blow up a car as it drove by.

I've only seen it work effectively on "500 vehicles!" servers.  On vanilla servers, vehicles are too few and far between for most people to sit there for hours waiting to ambush someone.
