Help, cant setup tents

So me and my buddies are getting to the stage where our gear is good and we have a good ammount food and drink etc. We have a few camping tents, but no matter where we try, we cant place them.

Allways get the warning "need flat ground, too close to objekt"

We want to make a stash to stuff so if we do get ganked, we arent totally starting from scratch. But as we cant put tents down...

Any tips for newbies plox.

dont put tents down until post 1.7.1.5, if you read the notice in the announcement section it says theyll all disappear.
