CheeseBurgerDayZ 0 Posted August 11, 2013 Hey Guys I was reading an article before about some guy who was talking about having slow internet speeds and one of the forum replys were if you're worried about downloading the game slowly you're going to have a hard time in game ...he said if you didn't download arma 2 + OA in atleast 1 and a half hours then y our in shit....I already downloaded the game and it took me honestly 2hours or more to download arma 2 and another 2 hours to download OAand I cant really get a good smooth gameplay in game which I just wanted to know if my internet speed at the moment is crap and if I should get a speed pack addedill put my computer details aswell I know my computer isn't the best gaming computer out and that could also be the reason it runs crappyProcessor Intel® Core i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2200 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 LogicalTotal Physical Memory 3.85 GB Available Physical Memory 1.72 GB Total Virtual Memory 7.71 GB Available Virtual Memory 5.54 GB Intel® HD Graphics FamilyNVIDIA GeForce GT 520Mand I did and internet speed test my speed is 5mbps down and 450kbps up and I don't get that speed all the time .. I also have speed packs I wanted you guys to suggest which would be the best option for playing DayZ1st 25mbps down / 10mbps up2nd 50mbps down / 20mbps upofcourse just go for the fastest one but if the 1st will run dayz fine then why spend more money :)not sure if this is all you guys should need to tell me how to run a smoother dayz but yeah hope you guys will Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Not sure what to suggest other than to google some guides that will help get your settings more inline with your systems limitations. ttghusky@live.com.au 10 Posted August 11, 2013 The GPU is old, it wont be able to sustain a steady FPS that is playable, I suggest upgrading it (depending on the brand, you may have to upgrade to a new computer)Also, the CPU is rather slow, it's only got 2 physical cores, whereas nowadays, they usually have 4, this will affect Arma's performance. PK Richie 507 Posted August 11, 2013 Your connection is decent, a lot better than mine, it won't cause lag if you choose a server with a decent ping :)Your CPU is quite poor, that will cause low FPS, You'll get between 20-25 FPS because ArmA is heavy on the CPU more than GPU. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
