cupcake_actual 1 Posted August 10, 2013 Hey guys, just wanted to let everybody know about this server. It is a Private Hive, Washington DC server. We welcome new players and veterans alike. There are a few things that make this server different from the rest. First of all, the admin are ADULTS!. So you dont have to worry about some power hungry 12 year old abusing his admin powers. Instead, what you will find, is that the admin only use their powers for the good of the dayz community. The Chernarus map has a few additions to it, new buildings in the "useless" cities. Hate the dreaded Kamenka spawn? Dont worry, Kamenka now has a general store, some apartment buildings and a firestation. We have enhanced many locations on the map. We strive to maintain the Vanilla features of Dayz. You will not be spawning with a DMR or anything crazy. DayZ is a survival game. Thats not to say we are against PvP, but there are incentives to playing dayz at it was intended. Currently we are experimenting with the hero/bandit aspect. Again this is experimental. For example being a "hero" entitles you to more than just a skin. As well as being a bandit. I cant even really discuss this with you at this time, because we need players to help us develop this. Were not trying to change dayz, instead we just want to create a server for the true diehard Dayz players. Another feature that we are testing, is an "end game" goal. What do you do when you play dayz? Run through cherno, grab some gear and some beans. Find a hatchet, a knife, and some matches, then take to the wilderness to try and survive. What happens next? You probably get bored and go rouge. Useless player killing and trolling. For the survivors that are in it for the long haul, we are offering a base building system. these bases will be added to the database and you wont have to worry about it disappearing when the server restarts as they will be permanent* fixtures on the server. You pick the location and features you want he base to have. For example; do you only want it to be accessible by air? do you want to have a bus for a gate(works really well actually)? This gives you a more long term goal to survive as long as possible. You will have to maintain your base, and defend it from other survivors who might take a liking to your sweet fortress. Maybe the "heros" spawn with a hero starter kit? just the basics to allow them to continue their path to righteousness. Like some first aid gear and a "peace maker" Maybe "bandits" spawn with some nasty tricks up their sleeves? A bear trap to disable their targets, so they can steal their gear? these are just ideas that we are testing. However if you just want a "stock" dayz server, then give us a go. That is the primary operation of this server. This server and its "features" are available for FREE! We just love to play some DayZ, and we want to have a populated server. Its that simple.
