Bandit Noob i need help

ok so I am not good at DayZ I tried to be a hero like 10 times but everyone attacks me I want to be a bandit but I find it hard like getting the right guns loot players and things so anyone could give me tips?

like what guns are good to start with like off the coast than later on and than advance and which cities to get kills

fastest way to get bandit skin good ways to get ghillie I have found 2 in a bar I don't believe my luck and so on and how to get good kills and not get killed thanks

I'm going to assume you know the basics of DayZ.

 

Good starter guns:

1. Lee Enfield

2. Any M4 Varient

3. Any AK Varient

4. Winchester

5. CZ 550

 

Fastest Way to Get Bandit Skin:

Shoot people

 

Where to find a ghillie:

The ghillie is residential. Look in houses, pubs, schools, and church's.

 

General Tips:

1. Don't underestimate your target

2. Try to keep the element of suprise

3. Don't be stupid

4. Stay out of side chat

5. Learn the area around hotspots, and take advantage of sniper positions, counter sniper positions, etc, etc.

6. Don't bite off more than you can chew (works together with Rule 3)

7. Trial and error.

 

 

EDIT: And for godsake, when you get shot at, don't just lie down.

some extra tips :)

 

make one habit to know exact what ammo is in gun and what is in inventory, count every shot  :thumbsup:  is true thing I train myself this too much, my friend make test on me, he say 'KoS how many bullet you have in gun? how many in inventory? how many in backpack? tell without check please' everytime I give correct answer B) is no time I don't know answer for this shit

 

example I have dmr full mag, 3 full mag in inventory, 1 mag 4 bullet and 2 full mag in backpack. is 2 days since I play but I remember this shit without think :D

 

learn to recognise every gun sounds and how many bullet is in mag and count how many this guy shoot  ;)  sometime he don't have full mag but is normal guys reload before make attack so is possible you see moment where guy need to reload, I kill too many guys when they make reload :P also if is close fight listen for reload, if you can make attack quick DO IT, if not possible start again countdown of bullet :thumbsup:

Go for the headshot. 

 

I was in NWAF, I was using my Ak 47 since my stanag ammo was linking low. I ended up killing two guys, and I shot them in the head to neutralize them as quick as possible. One of the guys had a G 36 with plenty of ammo so I put my AK in my bag and decided to use the G 36 (This honestly was my first time using the gun so I didn't know it sucked), come to find out those guys I killed were in a clan and 6 of their members were on and they were talking on side chat about coming to find and kill me. 1v4. This wouldn't be fun. Well turns out one of their members got to NWAF before the others, he hopped out of his car, and I shot him 5 times in the body with the G 36. He didn't die. I saw the blood splat so I knew all shots connected. He hopped in his car and drove off. 

 

After playing a little longer I ended up killing all 4 of them, it took a while but I did it. That's actually been my best player killing ever. Killed 6 clan members in 20 minutes. 

 

But go for the headshot. And don't miss.

Fastest way to get a decent gun is to just go to elektro and loot the 2 firehalls. If you don't find any guns, join a different server and keep looting the 2 firehalls until you get a decent gun. I find AK's M4's and even DMR's spawn quite frequently in them. Once you get that down there are plenty of players in elektro and cherno, and on high population servers you can bet its a bloodbath

But, I have a little advice.

Step one: Find someone.

Step two: Piss your pants in excitement about his glorious can of beans.

Step three: Yell FRIENDLY! as loud as you can in direct chat.

As land based Walrus said, shouting FRIENDLY and then shoot/axe/bit people on sight is a good start on your route to becoming a bandit :P

However, I'd suggest you look into these thing:

- Reading maps. Plan your journey, know the land, get the visual understanding of the area around you and pretty much the whole of chernarus. It'll greatly help when you're killed, or lost, or just have to run the fuck away from that guy with a M249 spewing rounds all around you. 

- Be patient. No, I'm not saying that you should jump into the hospital and pretend to be one of those emergency casualties. Patience. Wait for the target to stop, spend time observe him and/or his group. Wait until they're fully unaware of you (signs like running around and onto building carelessly looking for look, stopping frequently, eating food, bandaging and bloodbaging means either they're armed and have somebody overwatch them or just a bunch of fuckwits)

- Know your surroundings and adopt the enemy's mindset. During server restart, have a smoke and think ' What would I do if I'm going into a city and there will be bandits around'. Find the flaws in their logics, that'll help you vastly during the conquest of baked beans. Your surroundings can be both a friend and an enemy. Irrational decisions will have you lost all  the precious gear. Plan your attack, an infiltrating route and an exfiltrating route. Know what you're going to do.

- Master your weapons. Whether it'll be a Lee-Enfield or a AS50, if you can't shoot you can't do shit. This is not COD. It tooks skills to be able to range the target, ultilize the scope, know the muzzle velocity (how fast are your bullets going) and other marksmanship principles to be able to hit hard and hit accurately. I suggests going to the ArmA2 and try the editor - you can pretty much access all the weapons as different characters as well as putting civvies up as human target.

- Gather supplies with rational thinking. What's that 5 cans of coke going to last you. How many MREs can you gather. The time spend gathering food and water, as well as going to cities to get those, often cost your lives. It's better to have a few fast food to help you run around, but stock up a canteen, hunting knives, matches and hatchet. Besides, nothing taste better than actual water and meat.

Well that's pretty much what keeps me going and trolling people for now. You can choose to have a read through or just go fuck all and grab whichever you can find and blast the absolute shit out of every single survivors you see. But I shit you not, thinking often helps your chance of winning, just as brains over brute force.

I definitely agree with this. No matter how much people will hate you, backstabbing works.

I'd suggest hiking your ass onto ARMA II OA and playing deathmatch for a little to improve marksmanship. I do it for practice, occasionally.

Also, you'll want to find a kit you can roll with. Adopt a layout you can easily access in the beginning, and then end-game. My favorite starting loadout is generally a pistol such as the revolver, along with the Winchester. Also, try to learn the lay of the land, as he said. After 30 minutes of studying the map, I found a way to loot for the basic supplies, and then head north.

Backstabbing is fun. I shit you not, but going on TeamSpeak, pretend to team up with people, then relay their coordinations, locations and whereabouts to your teammate (my cousins and mates) will give you a good experience.

Basically you play the unarmed inexperienced bambi that wants to tag along wannabe heroes. I intentionally suicided, get the cousin to retrieve the gear, then running around with a massive flare screaming 'friendly! friendly!' into direct comms. After several try and got sniped 20+ times I finally caught up with a group of 6 heroes that killed my 'assailants' (cousin who intentionally shoot me while I was running around like an idiot)

I tag along them, and they picked me up in their helicopters. The idiots didn't know while I was speaking to them in direct VOIP I was typing to my cousins about their whereabouts, speed and attitude and destinations. I tagged along all the way to their camp southwest of NEAF, and while we were landing, I opened the map and got the coordinations from the helicopter (how nice of these guys, letting me sit in the back and mind my own business)

Nek minnit 4 bandits were creeping up the hill and start shooting, They thought it was real since they made the mistake of flying low and above the waters and didn't even think I betrayed them. I went to their tents, grab myself a nice shiny AKS74u - tip: identify and use the same weapon as they were using, this'll create confusion as they think you're shooting at the enemy and not them. playing on a harcore/veterans server would help too as it wouldn't show who killed whom.

So my cousin start cracking at them, and I went to finish off the wounded instead of 'helping' and shoot their snipers dead. We claimed that said camp, loot all we can and destroy all the tents. To add to the authenticity I ask my cousin to shoot me dead as I noticed a few off them got off the server and joined back in. They thought that it was just a bandit assault and even give me free lifts later!

If you were to backstab, do it the classy way. No I'm not a drama queen, but once I backstab it has got to be heroes and all those kind of wankers. And it got to be deadly.
