Can not Authenticate...

Buddy and I downloaded the Overwatch  mod when we noticed all of our chums going to the Overwatch server instead of the Chernarus one, we go it from the DayZ commander, we both got all our DayZ, Arma blah blah from Steam. We download it, select it in our "content" section on the main menu. And it hangs whenever we join the server...

 

 

I have tried:

Having the server restarted.

 

Downloading some bollocks application that said it was useful for these sort of issues, ended up having to uninstall a crap load of programs, and now Delta is my searchbar. >=[

 

Validating all the games in steam, re-entering them, and then trying to play.

 

Repairing "DayZ" in the DayZ commander.

 

Googling it.

 

Opening it through the launcher.

If I hadn't spent the last four hours trying to figure this out, I'd probably get a reply sooner...

 

Anyone know what I'm missing?*

This is the first PC game I've ever played besides CD ROM games. I barely know what a ZIP file is. Keep that in mind when replying, thank you so much in advance. ^_^

Your best bet is to let someone remote desktop into your computer =)

 

Dont download anything that is not dayzcommander, or from arma2, armaholic, dayzmod and Bohemia Interactive sites.

 

Have you download the arma2beta patch?

Did you start arma2oa.exe and at least get the menu before playing dayz?

Overwatch is a required mod that needs to be downloaded around 1.8gig.

Sorry for the triple post but, after consulting numerous experienced gamers, and about 12 hours of tweaking I still can't get it to Authenticate. I give up.
