Typically a minute or so, but the first couple of times I waited about five minutes. Just finished validating Operation Arrowhead, 10 files failed to validate, DayZ commander says I don't even have the game installed now. Gonna restart my laptop, and if that doesn't solve the issue I guess I'll reinstall OPA. These random minuet errors that cause the game to completely screw up is beginning to piss me off.

So, after installing the newest patch for Overwatch I decided to get on and make my rounds through Kamenka and Balota, I fired up DayZ Commander, and joined my preferred server. The launch box got to the second to the last square, then stopped loading, I checked my task manager and it quit responding. Did this a few more times, so I refreshed my DayZ commander, I got redscript, and typically a reinstall fixes the issue, sure enough after a re-install Commander was in the clear. So I figured perhaps it was because Steam wasn't on. Turned Steam on, same issue. I tried launching through Steam, same issue. It would seem my launcher is crashing, I'm currently validating my caches, then I'm going to restart my laptop. If anyone has any additional insight, I'd be much obliged.

Sorry for the triple post but, after consulting numerous experienced gamers, and about 12 hours of tweaking I still can't get it to Authenticate. I give up. Good night, DayZ

Make sure it's selected in the expansion list on the main menu.

Yes, I downloaded the betapatch. Yes, I've let each game get to the menu before attempting to play DayZ

Buddy and I downloaded the Overwatch mod when we noticed all of our chums going to the Overwatch server instead of the Chernarus one, we go it from the DayZ commander, we both got all our DayZ, Arma blah blah from Steam. We download it, select it in our "content" section on the main menu. And it hangs whenever we join the server... I have tried: Having the server restarted. Downloading some bollocks application that said it was useful for these sort of issues, ended up having to uninstall a crap load of programs, and now Delta is my searchbar. >=[ Validating all the games in steam, re-entering them, and then trying to play. Repairing "DayZ" in the DayZ commander. Googling it. Opening it through the launcher. Opening it through DayZ commander If I hadn't spent the last four hours trying to figure this out, I'd probably get a reply sooner... Anyone know what I'm missing?* This is the first PC game I've ever played besides CD ROM games. I barely know what a ZIP file is. Keep that in mind when replying, thank you so much in advance. ^_^

After playing Dayz, it's become a point that many servers use Teamspeak to converse in game. The server I play on offers it's teamspeak ID in it's webpage so I downloaded the program. I can not find how to search for a specific IP address, and it's annoying the hell out of me. Any tips?

I've been playing on the Iron Dome server, and I've gotten my friend to DL DayZ to play with me, I downloaded the combined operations, DayZ and the DayZ commander, he downloaded Arma 2, Operation Arrowhead, DayZ, and DayZ commander, but when he tries to join the server it says he requires 1.62.103718. What is he missing and how do we get it?

I appreciate all the help, I'm slowly learning the controls, and navigating the server list (Boy is that a crash course.) I had a question, in the least codespeak, layman's terms, how do I get the side chat/voice chat to work, I've seen people say you have to alter a bit of code on the "MPMissions" folder, but I'm just not getting it. I've spent the last hour trying to figure it out, and I'm just too nooby. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to be able to say "At least let me run before you shoot, I'm unarmed."

You wouldnt happen to have a link to it, would you? When I say I'm not a big PC gamer, I mean this is the second game I've ever downloaded, and the first mod I've ever downloaded.

It's 4:20 in the morning, EST so I assume there wont be a reply until after I wake up this evening but... I just downloaded Arma 2 and Operation Arrow Head, and the DayZ mod from steam. I'm not big into PC games, but this game just rips the competitive spirit right out of me. Anyway, question: Once I finish downloading in about 30 minutes to an hour, are there any steps I may have overlooked, what's a good server to play on, and I may have questions as to how well hardware/software will preform with DayZ, but I don't expect any technical issues. Thanks for the help, and I can't wait to be an official member of this community.
