HELP

I have arma 2 and operation arrowhead and have downloaded dayz commander but if I try to join a server I immediately get kicked because I supposedly don't have something. Is this all because I have the disc version of OA and the steam version of arma 2. Do I need combined operations.

I think you can download Arma 2 on steam, im not sure....ask Orlok....

You'll need to be specific. There are a million different errors telling you that you don't have something.

 

Other than that:

 

1- Make sure that you use DayZCommander - it is a lot simpler and easier to use than PlayWithSix.

2- Make sure your DayZ and ArmA 2 OA are both up to date.

 - Also make sure you're running the ArmA 2 OA beta patch.

Have you downloaded DayZ from the update/install tab in DayZ Commander?

Add the serial you have from your disc version to Steam, maybe that will work.

Make sure to run both versions of arma at least once.

 

Then start up dayzcommander and go to install/update and install the updates, should look something like this.

 

ARMA 2: 103718(Up to date)           <<this is the arma 2 beta patch, has to be installed after you have run arma2 and arma2:OA

 

 

DAYZ: 1.7.7.1 (Up to date)               

 

You also need to make sure that dayzcommander knows where your game files are.

 

Go to settings and check that the game directories are pointing to the right place.

 

You dont need combined operation, thats just Arma 2 and Arma 2 operation arrowhead sold as a bundle.

Fluxley gave the correct info :) Ignore all the others guesses.

 

You have to run both games at least once, launch them and make a profile and this also installs BattlEye.

Then download and install Dayz Commander

Update everything in Dayz Commander except any mods you don't want.

Click the settings tab and change the paths, ArmA2 will be in Steam>Common etc and OA will be in Bonhemia Interactive/Operation Arrowhead

Combined Operations is just ArmA 2 & Operation Arrowhead when sold together, you bought them seperate but it makes no difference :)

 

Any problems just reply, I'll keep an eye on this thread for you.

You need the @Dayz mod files to be inside the Operation Arrowhead directory

When I try to join a server it says that I am missing addon CA_BAF. I have reaserched what to do a and I think I have to install OA 1.6

Ohhhh wait I think I know what has happened.

 

Normally if you buy both ArmA 2 + OA from Steam / or disc, you get the BAF lite and PMC lite: And because you bought both of them from different places, you didn't get the PMC and BAF things.

You only need ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead to play.
