trouble shooting

every time i pick a server i get a message that says "bad version, server rejected connection."

what does this mean and/or how do i fix it?

Please use the search button, you need to update to the latest Arma 2 beta patch.

You likely need to install the beta patch or update your version of DayZ. Though the beta patch is probably more likely.

You get a completely different error for the DayZ version.

i have downloaded the beta patch but its still not working

the weird part is that i see "@dayz" line under "ArmA 2" on the right side of the menu screen. but it still wont work.
