I actually found a plain vanilla (No mods, veteran mode) server that usually has up towards 30-40 people on during the day hours. (EST)

 

IP is 208.115.109.122:2302 

 

If you can't find it, search for "Noobclear Warfare" in DayZ Commander. No I am not in anyway affiliated with this server, just though some people should know. It seems there are literally no other vanilla servers out there with a good playerbase.
