*Self* Blood transfusion

This suggestion is probably submitted a few times but i tought i submit it again.

As the title says "Self blood transfusion", I was thinking about the ability to administer bloodpacks to yourself and when you do, you see an animation that you're searching for a vein. Then you see an animation that you administer the blood and and hold up the bloodpack.

after this you will be done and use a bandage to patch yourself.

This procedure will require a bloodpack and a bandage (obviously) and the whole procedure will take 20 second (maybe a 40 seconds). This way you cannot transfuse yourself when you are beng hunted by zombies and/or players.

So? What do you think?

Just said this another post but blood transfusions do not encourage team play. They are used a means of luring bandit victims with offers of "help".

Sociopath: "Hey do you need a blood transfusion?"

Me:"Yes"

Sociopath: "Ok dude. Come here and we will give you one, we have lots"

Me:"Great. Thanks so much man. Really appreciate it."

Sociopath: "Oh no problem at all"

They are currently the ONLY reason in dayz that people NEED to find help for. Sorry but this isnt a good idea.

-1 To this idea. Blood bags should continue to be administered by other players, since it encourages team play, and is just more realistic and offers more immersion.

What should be changed about the blood bags (Don't know if it has or not) is the fact that a player can not give a transfusion to someone more then once if they have not died since the first one. Have tested it several times on several mates. Teammate takes damage, give transfusion. 2 Hours later, he's down blood again but no matter how hard I try I'm not greeted with the option to heal him. I'm forced to give the blood bag to another player so they can administer it.

Maybe we could allow self blood transfusion but with a risk of 1 of the following side effects.

Toxic shock:

renders your player unable to move for 10mins

HIV:

All stats down for life

small Allergic reaction:

random chance of 1 of the following effects

A: No sound for 2 mins

B: Shakes [that painkillers would normaly remove] for 2 mins

Well maybe a blood limit can be put in when you self transfuse maybe something like like 6000-7000?

Yeah, I think letting solo players use it but not have be as effective. Something around 3-4k sounds good to me.

Why not make it so you have to be near a tree to use them (hanging up the bag in the tree) and lying down for a while while you are using them. (my only friend owning the game has big problems with joining servers due to some unkown reasons) Blood bags are useless unless you have some1 to play with and runing around with 2/3 in your bags is currently wasted space since it is killed or be killed on sight. Would be nice if you could use them yourself.

Then stop running around with bloodpacks if they're just taking up space?

seriously, if you're low on blood, find an animal, shoot it gut it cook it..voila blood!
