Thanks to the entire dev team for allowing me (I won't presume to speak for "us") the opportunity to participate in this experiment. These forums would be a data mine for any sociology majors researching a thesis!

As far as the new loadout in V1.7.1.2 goes, I reckon it's close to optimal. Was pleasantly surprised to see all that usefull gear when I first logged on. Like Christmas morning. In Hell. The matches are especially appreciated! They were damn scarce before. And all those hatchets and crowbars! I could have opened a HomeDepot in the keep of Rog castle!

Haven't really been affected by the reported "limited food spawns" as the pig hunting north of Msta is fantastic. Was cooking up some pork chops (thanks again for the matches) when four more on the hoof sauntered past 10 feet from the fire. I suppose some beans would have been nice as a side dish. Too bad the apple orchards aren't raidable! Is having a blood bag to hand a realistic scenario for the average shmuck? Of course not. It does, however, provide me a means to actively assist in saving another players life, should the opportunity arise, which I appreciate as I do not get off on taking them.

Anyhow, thanks again and keep up the good work. There hasn't been a game that has made my heart pound and senses crackle like this since... well, ever! Sure it's difficult, near impossible sometimes, but hey, life wasn't meant to be easy, right? And dying I can do in my sleep.

The area between Devil's Castle and Novy Lug looks like good hunting ground. Will have to check it out next, I reckon.

Just a quick rant in ending:

To all those who feel that the devs need to cater to your petulant demands and stop messing with "your" game, you would do well to remember that it isn't "your" game. It is a gift freely given and should be taken as such.
