Impossible to play on the same server with 2 differents PC at the same HOME. (CD key in Use)

Recommended Posts

Hi

here is the problem

i got 2 computers and 2 steams accounts at home, on each one, i bought arma 2 & arrow head

i play dayz with no problem on my own computer, today i booted my 2nd computer then logged on  steam with my 2nd steam account ( with arma 2 & arrow head installed too)

i installed dayz commander on the 2nd, like i did on the first 1 week ago.

Then, i pick a server, i log on with PC 1 with no problem like usual, but when i try to log on the same server with PC 2, im Ejected.

i Tryed to launch arma 2 and host an internet game with PC 1, and when i try to join it with PC 2 i got the message : CD KEY IN USE

I think i make a mistake who explain that, i logged with my steam PC 1 account on PC 2, and i log with my PC 2 account on PC 1, so i guess  he just "mixed" the CD KEY or something like that ...

thanks

You're on the same CD-Key on both computers. Run Arma 2 OA from PC 2 with Steam Account 2 via Steam, then you should have the key from your 2nd Steam account on PC 2.

If I understand correctly it might be an ip problem.

Two instances of ArmA comming through the same ip has been problematic for many.

Not sure, maybe someone else will come in with a solution.

It's not an IP problem, you've accidentally installed the same version I believe.  I play DayZ with my roommate, we are both in the same house, using different steam accounts, and we both purchased separate copies of arma 2 combined operations.  I would try uninstalling everything (remove everything!) on his computer and logging into the correct steam and re-installing.

There definitely is no problem doing what you are trying to do, because I do it all the time.
